Spice up your wardrobe with some slovETNO magic: This pattern was created from the pattern of the Triglav flower and other Slavic symbols used in weaving patterns. The slovETNO flower is a digitally manipulated symbol of the Slovenian heritage. Inspired by two things; the Slavic symbol of sun and the godess Lada, a symbol of eternity and the Triglav flower. The Slovene alpine flower grows on rocks and gravel mostly in the Julian Alps, it blooms from June to August. Associated with the legend of the Gold Horn (Zlatorog), in which it has miraculous healing power. When wounded flowers grow from his blood when he eats the flower his wounds are magically heeled and he regains all his strength.
About KRESNIK (hoodie): Kresnik is one of the most important slavic gods. He is known only in the Slovenian and northern Croatian region. Associated with one of the most importaint slavic holidays – midsummer. The origin of the name comes from the word »kresiti«, which in slovenian means »to hit hard«. Kresnik is a reflection of the summer solstice period. His role changed over time and the development of various beliefs and was also preserved in Christianity, where God Kresnik becomes St. John the Baptist.
About JARILO (pants): In Slavic mythology, Jarilo is the god of spring and a wolf shepherd. He is also the god of vegetation, and his power is rebirth – he keeps dying and being reborn again and again. According to mythology, Jarilo was the son of Perun, born at Christmas time, and then kidnapped by the wolf lord Veles and made into a wolf shepherd as his servant.
