Jurjevo is an important folk holiday celebrated on April 23 or 24. Zeleni Jurij is a mythological hero who brings spring, happiness and abundance. Today, the celebration is liveliest in the Bela Krajina region. Before the start of the celebration, one of the villagers gets dressed in greenery, boys carry a decorated may pole, and the girls wear flowers. Read more about the story HERE.
